Cable connection system
Today we’ll learn something about the cable and gain knowledge about the behavior of the cable connection. Here We’ll mainly discuss about mainly 3 types of cabling. They are:
1. Straight through
2. Cross over
3. Roll over
If we want to connect a device with the straight through cable, then what will be the cabling type? Lets see this:

4 ——->>4
5 ——->>5
6 ——->>6
7 ——->>7
8 ——->>8
So now have a look at the crossover cable connection
1 ——->>3
2 ——->>6
3 ——->>1
4 ——->>4
5 ——->>5
6 ——->>2
7 ——->>7
8 ——->>8
Now come to the Roll over cabling:
1 ——->>8
2 ——->>7
3 ——->>6
4 ——->>5
5 ——->>4
6 ——->>3
7 ——->>2
8 ——->>1
So i think that from this picture, you can now easily can remember the connection of the cable. As from the picture, you can see that, when HUB and switch connection is needed, then there is crossover connection is needed. And when, PC, printer and other types of network connection is needed, then there is also crossover connection is needed. But as in the picture, when, these two groups needs a connection then straight through cable connection is needed. The two types of cable connection is shown in this post. As you know proper cable and its connectivity is necessary for a connection, so you also need to connect the connectors very carefully and also test the connectors, with the help of cable tester. I’ve shared my experience, through that two posts, i explained there. Actually, i think that for being a networking engineer, you must need some knowledge about this connection of this cable. I’ve posted here this type of post, because, i also sometimes forget this connection and if this post is in this blog then i can easily find this post and see the cable and its connection type. You can also do this if you forget this connection type.
