Hi, hope that you are all well, in this post we’ll discuss about Linux certification exam.

Linux certification exam (RHCSA and RHCE)

There are mainly two popular Red Hat certification exams. They are:

1. RHCSA – Red Hat Certified System Administration
2. RHCE – Red Hat Certified Engineer.

Now come to the point, after doing RHCSA, you’ll be skilled about:

>> Be familiar and friendly with Linux environment.

>> Be familiar with Linux command line utilities.

>> Be familiar with the Linux Text processing tools such as cat, tail, head, grep, less etc.

>>Be familiar with Linux Text editor.

>> Manage user and group.

>> File/Folder permission and change ownership.

>> Disk management of Linux.

>> Monitoring different process in Linux.

>> Scheduling the job.

>> Configuring the network.

>> Package management system of Linux.

>> Be familiar with the working with SElinux.

>>Working with Client and NTP Server

>>Virtualization.

 

 

Now come to the point that, after completing the RHCE, you’ll be able to learn:

>> SSH application and its service.

>> NFS server and auto mount.

>> Both IPv4 and IPv6 bridge and bonding.

>> Monitoring tasks and requests with proxy server.

>> Working with DNS server.

>> Working with mail server.

>> Managing Linux security with firewall and IPtables.

>> Monitoring different types of activities.

>> FTP Server management.

>> Storage server management.

>> Database management using MariaDB

>> Web Server management.

>> Shell scripting management.

 

Now lets come to the exam part.

Both RHCSA and RHCE ( exam has 300 marks.

>> Pass mark for each part is 210.

>> Total cost : $400 + $100 (Original book)

>> Exam is fully on LAB based.

>> Exam duration is : 6 Hrs (Approx.)
